Check fabric in pure extra-fine merino wool: brown, lightweight, 158 cm wide and sold by the metre. The checks are regular, measuring 4.5 × 4.5 cm: within each check the brown ground alternates with a very dark brown, almost black, in small houndstooth and fine-stripe motifs, and each check is edged with a thin orange line. This is the classic Prince of Wales check. A light wool for jackets, trousers, skirts, tailored suits and dresses.

The full 158 cm is usable, and there is an extra selvedge of about 2.5 cm on each side, making 163 cm in total. The yellow lettering ‘PURA LANA MERINO EXTRA FINE’ (pure extra-fine merino wool) is woven into the selvedge. The colour in the photos is calibrated to the white of our set, but every screen shows it slightly differently: if the shade matters, ask us for a sample. The quantity in your cart is the number of metres.
